Frequently asked questions
- What counts as a billed developer?
- Someone who opened, reviewed or commented on a pull request in the last 30 days. Two Git identities for the same person count once, a developer working across three teams counts once, and anyone who only reads the dashboard — managers, product, finance — is not counted at all. It is common for a bill to cover an organisation with several times as many people in it as it charges for.
- What happens when the team grows or shrinks?
- The bill follows it, with no steps. There are no plan tiers to cross and nothing to upgrade, so a busy month costs a little more and a quiet one costs a little less. Changes are applied at your next renewal rather than mid-cycle, so a surprise charge is never possible.
- What happens when the trial ends?
- Nothing is deleted and nothing is taken away without warning. Your repositories stay connected and your history stays where it is, so picking the subscription up later costs you no data. Subscribing also imports six months of history in place of the trial's 30 days.
- Is there an annual contract or an onboarding fee?
- Neither. Annual billing is the cheaper option rather than a lock-in — pay monthly instead if you would rather, and cancel at any time. Connecting a repository takes about five minutes and imports your history automatically, so there is no data warehouse to stand up, no professional-services engagement, and no fee beyond the plan price.
- What is in Enterprise that is not in the plan?
- Controls, not features. Every capability a team uses day to day — the agent, unlimited teams, every report, the API — is in the one plan. Enterprise adds what a security review and a procurement process ask for: SAML single sign-on and SCIM provisioning, audit logs and advanced permissions, a response-time SLA, and help through the review itself.
