Pull Requests
Automatic pull request tracking and analysis through intelligent webhook integration with your GitHub and Bitbucket repositories.
Automatic Webhook Integration
When you connect a repository to Coderbuds, we automatically add a webhook to listen for pull request events. This webhook enables real-time tracking of pull request activities including creation, updates, merges, and closures.
What's Tracked:
- Pull request creation and updates
- Code review activities and comments
- Merge and closure events
- Author and reviewer information
- Code change statistics and size
The webhook is automatically configured with the necessary permissions and security settings. No manual webhook configuration is required.
Managing Repository Webhooks
You can view and manage your repository webhooks through the Manage Repositories section of your dashboard.
View Webhook Status
Check if webhooks are active and properly configured for each repository.
Refresh & Update
Update webhook configurations or refresh connections if needed.
Auto-Comments Control
Control whether Coderbuds automatically posts AI review comments directly to your pull requests or keeps them private in your dashboard.
Auto-Comments ON
- AI reviews posted as comments on pull requests
- Team members see feedback directly in GitHub/Bitbucket
- Immediate visibility of code quality insights
- Reviews also available in Coderbuds dashboard
Auto-Comments OFF
- AI reviews generated but not posted as comments
- Reviews remain private in your Coderbuds dashboard
- No external visibility in GitHub/Bitbucket
- All metrics and analytics still available
How to Toggle Auto-Comments
- Navigate to Manage Repositories in your dashboard
- Find the repository card you want to configure
- Look for the Auto-comments toggle on the repository card
- Click the toggle to enable or disable auto-comments for that repository
- Changes take effect immediately for new pull requests
Regardless of the auto-comments setting, all AI reviews are performed and stored in your Coderbuds dashboard. The toggle only controls public visibility of comments on your pull requests.
Automatic Pull Request Analysis
When a repository is added to Coderbuds, we automatically fetch and analyze your existing pull requests. This process happens in the background and requires no user input.
Historical Data
We analyze past pull requests to establish baseline metrics and trends.
Size Categorization
PRs are automatically categorized by size: tiny, small, medium, large, oversized.
AI-Powered Insights
Advanced analysis provides quality scores and improvement suggestions.
Processing Time
Initial analysis typically completes within minutes for most repositories. Large repositories with extensive history may take longer to process.
Smart Pull Request Filtering
Coderbuds automatically excludes certain types of pull requests to ensure your metrics reflect meaningful development work.
Automatically Excluded:
- Dependabot dependency updates
- Snyk security patches
- Other automated bot contributions
Included for Analysis:
- Human-authored pull requests
- Feature development and bug fixes
- Code refactoring and improvements
Custom Exclusions
